Well, they are to an extent. If you get a list that is targeted towards your business sector then they can be quite lucrative in terms of generating more sales however you should not put too much emphasis on them especially as a business model as you can get a list of 100 people and only make a few sales. What you also need to know is the way in which the list itself was put together. On occasions some people have found that the list can be just a randomly generated one that is not targeted or personalized to the client’s needs; in essence this is almost worthless as the company that bought it will be unlikely to be able to make any sales with it.

What you could also do with knowing is the date that the list was made. If it is quite old – a year or two – then it is likely to be useless as well as the peoples’ details may have changed or their interests different. That being said, if you can get a good list of business leads then you can work towards utilizing it properly and hopefully generating some sales as a result and helping your business in the process as well.

Many people wouldn’t think that donating cord blood could make a difference, but let me tell you, it can.  My niece actually benefited from the generous donation by another baby in her fight against cancer, and thanks to the cord blood she was able to beat the disease.  I don’t know if she would even be around today if it wasn’t for the generosity of someone’s parents who decided to make a donation that saved her life.

So, when I decided to have children, I decided that we would donate the cord blood as well.  It took a bit of convincing to get my husband on board, but after I explained how we were helping out another child by donating the blood, he agreed that it was the best thing that we could do.  It feels great to know that we are making a difference in someone’s life.
